This application is for Performing Artists applying for the 2024 Season of VIBES Edmond's First Thursdays held
April-October on the 1st Thursday of each month. All Performing Artist Applications will be reviewed by the selection committee in early February 2024. Following review all applicants will be notified. All applicants pay the $50 VIBES Application fee, which is the only fee participants are charged for the entirety of the VIBES Season.
This one-time fee is nonrefundable.

Performing Artists selected to participate in the 2024 VIBES Season are guaranteed at least one booking by VIBES.Participants are also eligible to be booked by local businesses for the VIBES events. Acceptance to participate in the VIBES Season does not guarantee placement for all 7 of the VIBES events.
Participants must be willing and able to keep up with email communications from the VIBES Staff.

VIBES Performing Artists are paid by VIBES if booked by VIBES or paid by a downtown business if booked by a downtown business.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
By submitting this application for consideration of participation in VIBES Edmond’s First Thursday, I agree to receive communications from the Edmond Fine Arts Institute’s VIBES coordinator in the form of emails and newsletters and permit the release of my contact information to participating Downtown Edmond Businesses. I release and discharge the Fine Arts Institute of Edmond, its board of directors and volunteers, the City of Edmond, downtown Edmond Businesses and other sponsors and officials for all claims of damages, demands, actions whatsoever in any manner arising or growing out of my participation in this event. This release and waiver extends to all claims of every kind or nature whatsoever, foreseen or unforeseen, known or unknown. I grant permission to sponsors and/or agents authorized to use any photos, videotapes, motion pictures, or any other record of this event for any purpose and such use shall be without compensation to me. I attest and verify that I have full knowledge of the risk involved in participation at a public event. Reasonable care will be exercised by the VIBES agencies and businesses to protect the performers; however the performer assumes all risk of loss from damage, theft, or destruction of personal items from any cause whatsoever. The FAI and VIBES agencies agree to promote artist participation in VIBES to the best of their ability; however, additional monetary success is not guaranteed and is largely determined by the performer’s personal involvement in marketing and self-promotion. In addition, performers are considered 1099 employees of Fine Arts Institute and responsible for reporting all taxable income. I understand that an event may have to be canceled due to inclement weather and do not expect to receive any compensation in that circumstance. The information provided in this application and its attachments is complete and accurate to the best of my knowledge and I am obligated to update any information supplied, and/or supply any new information as it becomes available.
